Is License Watch free?
Yes. License Watch is available at no cost to Eligible, Enrolled Drivers, and is accessible through the Drivers Benefits App.
What information can I see in License Watch?
With License Watch, you can view your NYC TLC License status and expiration date in the App. Once you activate License Watch’s full monitoring features by adding a TLC-Authorized FHV Plate number, you will begin receiving alerts related to TLC License renewals plus parking, camera, and moving violations.
You can add your Driver’s License when activating monitoring as well to view related moving and traffic violations in the App, and receive alerts.
Do I need to activate monitoring?
Yes. To receive alerts related to your TLC License renewal status, plus TLC Plate-related moving, parking, and camera violations, you must activate monitoring by opting in and entering your TLC-authorized FHV Plate number in the App.
To activate moving and traffic violations monitoring associated with your Driver’s License, add your Driver’s License information in the App when activating License Watch.
Will License Watch replace official notices?
No. License Watch is designed to help you stay informed, but you should continue to review and respond to communications from the NYC TLC, DMV, courts, tolling agencies, and other government agencies.
Is my information shared with rideshare companies or the TLC?
No. Information provided through License Watch is for your personal use only and is not shared with rideshare companies, Member Bases, or other third parties. License Watch does not share information with third parties. License Watch obtains your license renewal and violations details through publicly-available information.
What should I do if I receive an alert?
Review the alert as soon as possible and follow any instructions provided. If you need help understanding a violation or responding to a ticket, License Watch can connect you with Legal Assistance for additional guidance
Can I get help with tickets and violations?
Yes. License Watch includes access to free or discounted support from Rideshare Legal Services to help you understand your options when faced with a violation. Consultations are always free.
